Pet/House sitting

We understand how daunting it can be when it comes to choosing someone to look after your beloved pet(s) when you go away. Here at The Furry Dogmother, we believe that pets are at their most comfortable when they are in the familiar surroundings of their own home and following their normal routines.  We move in (suitcase and all!) for the duration, there is no upheaval for your pets having to move to a strange place and they carry on as normal - stress free! We will follow all your pet’s usual routines including feeding & walking times. Cuddles, of course, come in abundance!

​What we offer is a bespoke sitting service in your own home that gives you peace of mind that your pet is being well looked after and although we can never take your place, we aim to be the next best thing! Picking up post, watering the plants and making sure the house is kept clean, tidy and secure is all part of the service.

In the first instance, we would come and meet you and your pet(s) at home and talk through your requirements. We do not charge for this consultation and you are under no obligation to proceed.  It's important that we find out as much as possible about your pet(s) personality and routine, his/her likes/dislikes and if there are any medical issues we need to be aware of.  It also gives you the opportunity to decide whether we are the right people to look after your pet too. All our sitters are fully insured and have DBS checks in place. 

Whilst you are away, whether it is overnight or longer, we're happy to send daily updates on how your pet(s) are getting on and what they've been up to (photos included!) This is a very popular part of our service. 

Pet/House sitting is available from 2 hours upwards  -  our longest sit so far has been 3 months (there is no limit!). We are often available to sit at short notice to cover last minute travel or emergencies.
